Storyloom is a do-it-yourself type journal which originated from the issue of some not believing they have a story to tell, some not knowing how to verbalize their story, and some not recognizing their story’s value. This issue needs to be addressed because of how one’s story plays a prominent role in shaping who they are and who they will be, but also because understanding and recognizing one’s story has a variety of individual and social benefits which can enhance one’s life. As a hands-on do-it-yourself type journal, Storyloom helps address the issue through a personalized interactive experience that explores the benefits of recognizing/telling one’s story, the value one’s story has, and how the mundane may contribute to it.
