I am Isaiah Van Slyke, a Graphic Designer & Storyteller based in Ohio with a passion for everything branding and identity related.
My journey started all the way back in middle school when I would doodle in the margins of my homework and think about creative solutions to make my life easier. From there I was drawn to graphic design because of how it merges intentionality, creativity, and curiosity for every solution.
During my time at my alma mater, Bowling Green State University, I took an interest in exploring identities and individuals’ stories, which is how I stumbled upon my design niche: everything branding and identity related.
My Approach
What begins as curiosity evolves, from passion, into something more. What sets me apart isn’t just my process—it’s the intention behind it. Through every step of the process, I strive to understand, explore, and create with the initial vision in mind because every story is one worth sharing.
Curiosity first
Every project/idea begins with curiosity and exploration as no design can be made without asking questions, knowing what you are designing for, and experimentation.
The story is key
Design is all about communicating ideas and showcasing said ideas’ stories. Through every step of the process, I strive to keep the story at the forefront where it leads every decision.
